The splendor of winter color in burnt orange berries and graying brown bark is striking against crisp blue skies. I marvel at the Creator's multi-purposed plan to offer His people a cold weather visual feast as well as one of real sustenance. May your weekend provide opportunities that reveal the feast that is His creation.
I'm not familiar enough with the Old Testament[I know a lot of the main stories from all those times spent in Sunday School and other church happenings as a preacher's kid]to match a verse like the Chronicles one above with a photo. I always enjoy seeing someone else do so. This is a beautiful match!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your comments also. I think winter is full of amazing displays of God's creativity. You certainly captured one of those.:>)
Oh and I enjoyed your post on your grandtwins. I have 6 grandchildren and capturing them not posing in a still viable photo is challenging.
These photos are wonderful! I like how you got the 3 levels of light in them and your boys are so darling--love those expressions you caught.
My youngest grandchild--1 yr.old Abby is quite pensive and I've gotten some terrific shots of her, but it's a matter of trying and trying and then trying some more!
Such a pleasure to read your thoughts; one grandmother to another. So appreciate your visit here!

Lovely, of course. And, as opposite of what was said by Beth, I'm an OT studier... know the NT, of course, but know a lot of history and prophets, particularly.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is GORGEOUS!!!!
Thank you.
That is beautiful, and paired with that verse does just what your sidebar says: "reverberates with deeper meaning."
ReplyDeleteSo good to have you visit here Jennifer. We "see" so much more through the lens of faith and the Spirit.
DeleteThat's a lovely picture to go with the verse!
ReplyDeleteI love your touch of beauty in the midst of winter. He is so good to us in many ways we don't see most of the time.
ReplyDeleteMy southwest region offers some startling color in the midst of the soft tones of winter. I too, love to celebrate the burst of color. Always good to have you stop by Betty.
