Drifted trails lace across the high desert terrain. Packed crystals underfoot join the hush of rushing winds in this natural sanctuary. Looming mountain majesty rises to the east. Heavenly majesty rising higher still.
While at my feet frozen shells of seed and stem bare spires of sculpted intricacies. Spires transformed through the ordained participation in the eco-bound living of earth rooted life. Living to completion through the Creator’s bounty. Life transformed, unexpected in its earliest germinal form, now boldly complete and visible to all the world. Transformed to perfection through the living and the grace filled hand.
May you linger a bit,
gaze long at glinting crystals,
breath crisp air deeply,
and count God's gifts in winter's display of perfection.
Lisa
My meditation and thoughts were influenced by :
~James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
~James 1:4 Let perseverance finish it’s work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
~Telios (Greek) - Perfect, “that which has achieved of reached its goal, objective, purpose” and therefore, “full grown” and “fully developed”. Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible.

Lisa, I can only imagine how nature like that speaks of God. As a New Yorker, I'm always drawn to His presence in wide open spaces and small details as you describe. Beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteOur Lord uses His every terrain to capture our awe. I have stood in such awe in the dense forests of your own home state. Thank you for your visit to Still Waters
Delete"Transformed to perfection through the living and the grace filled hand." - oh, I do love that!
ReplyDelete~peace,

..and Peace be with you.
DeleteI love how you took verses and gave them an interpretation from what you see. The key line, "linger a bit..." that's what it takes to see like you did. Thanks for sharing it with us. Thanks for visiting at my blog, too.
ReplyDeleteI've traveled a bit, but never to the desert. Thank you for sharing this beauty and the perfect scripture for describing the joy of taking in God's creation.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful to find such color in the winter landscape. "Transformed to perfection!"
ReplyDeleteWe are living in the desert for 6 months. The past couple of days have been very different - more rain than we have seen here before. Are you in the northern Arizona? We are in Mesa.

The photo was taken at the foot of the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico just after a snowfall. It can be surprising to discover that God gave the desert many "faces".
Delete"Living to completion through the Creator’s bounty" - What a powerful statement! Our Creator will complete what is started and He is so bountiful with His blessings.
ReplyDeleteSo true, to our great good fortune! Thank you for your visit here.
