The Proclamations of Angels

The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored!
The Lord is with you.”
Luke 1:28

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."
Luke 2: 9-10

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

James Chadwick 1862

  3. As I said on someone else's... I'm looking forward to truly seeing/meeting angels officially. I love the portion of Revelation when John falls to worship an angel and he says, over and over again, "NO! We're the same in worshiping God... not each other and you can't worship me." [That's my way of describing it, BTW.] Anyhow, I hear angels sometimes and I "see" them, but it's just an instant situation. Some time in the future, I get to hang out with the ones that have been taking care of me through my whole life. Yep, angels are our dear friends, dear family.

    1. I was so touched by your description here. My photo includes the robed and winged angel image, but I know in my heart they have appeared in many forms and even in no form, just a sense of presence. Regardless of how we may be blessed by such a meeting, our Lord is certainly the sender and the author of the message. How humbling it is.
